Peter is regarded as one of New Zealand's most experienced and eminent leadership development designers and facilitators.  Peter has been consulting since 1992 and has consulted to a wide range of both public and private organisations within Australasia.  Current clients include Fonterra (where he co-designed and co-facilitated their Global Leadership Programme; and is a core member of their international Accelerate talent assessment centre process); ANZ (where his Strategy into Action program has remained as a core part of the leadership development portfolio) and Deloitte (where he has been involved in creating their leadership frameworks, delivering leadership development programmes, team alignment sessions and providing 1:1 executive coaching). 
Peter is a core member of the design team for the Global Women Breakthrough Leadership Programme – which is New Zealand’s premier leadership development programme for women in senior leadership.  He facilitates the Strategic Mindset and Adaptive Leadership workshops and is a leadership coach to six participants.   Peter also facilitates on the New Zealand Leadership Institute programme entitled “Leadership Mindset”. 
Peter was selected after a national search to be the Senior Executive Programme Director at the New Zealand Leadership Institute from 2005–2010) and was primarily responsible for their Advanced Leadership Programme (called the Hillary Leadership Programme).  He worked intensively with over 100 senior executives on this 18 month, cross-sectoral, leadership programme.
He maintains a consulting association with the University of Auckland Business School (NZ’s highest ranked university) where he runs customised in-house programmes, sector based leadership programmes (e.g. Supply Chain Leadership, CIO Leadership Programme) and a public short course programme entitled “Leadership that Motivates High Performance. 
Prior to this, Peter was a consultant with the Hay Group in Sydney specialising in leadership development, executive team development, executive coaching, emotional intelligence and strategy clarification. While at Hay he was the Australasian representative for the Hay Group Global R&D Network, which kept him up to date with global best practice in these areas.  While with the Hay Group, Peter consulted to a wide range of both public and private organisations including Grains Research and Development Corporation, Unilever, Merck Sharp and Dohme, Bayer, Smiths Snackfoods, Rabobank, AGL, ABN Amro, Holden, Merill Lynch, UBS Warburg, and Sydney Airport Corporation. 
Peter has worked extensively on creating shared visions with executive teams and has worked closely with over a 1000 leaders on clarifying their personal/professional visions for the future. He co-designed New Zealand’s first two-year leadership development program for executives which was identified as being best practice in research conducted by the Centre for Organisational Excellence.
Peter’s PhD explored Executive Perceptions of Leadership in New Zealand and Australia which was assessed and commended by international leadership expert Barry Posner.
